Hurricane Bill update is now a major hurricane, strengthening its way up to 125 mph and nearly 205 km.hr, NOAA/ National Weather Service announced today, Thursday, August 20, 2009.
Boaters are adviced to stay away from sealines until the Hurricane Bill is slowing speed.
Meanwhile, the complete Hurricane Bill track was not mentioned on the annoucement but this could be dangerous to somewhere in bermuda or nova scotia. Whatever the hurricane bill projected path is NOAA’s National Weather Service is asking the marine community to help safeguard its offshore buoys — which provide meteorologists with critical data for weather and tsunami forecasts — following a series of incidents where buoys were damaged or cut from their moorings.
